New York Diner: Classic Breakfast & Friendly Service in Charlotte, NC

Very polite and friendly wait staff. Good food, affordable prices, will definitely be coming back. If I had to nitpick and find 1 bad thing it would be that I had to wait a while for my food, but they make everything to order so I didn't mind. 5 stars.

A perfect breakfast spot that has kind, attentive people working there. They helped me pick out something gluten free/celiac friendly and it was AMAZING. I’ve never had grits that perfectly rich and corned beef hash so savory. The atmosphere was so relaxed and warm. Will absolutely be back.

I’ve noticed New York Diner for years but only recently decided to give it a try — and I’m glad I did. It’s quickly become my go-to breakfast spot. The food is always fresh and delicious; the breakfast sandwiches are great, and the omelettes are my new favorite. Prices are fair, and everything is consistently good. A solid local diner I now look forward to visiting in the mornings.

It's been quite a while since I've taken the time to go out for breakfast (albeit a late one). But this meal was definitely worth the wait. Breakfast specials are good until 11am. After this time, the price goes up approximately 1$. I ordered extras including orange juice, coffee and extra meats and the price for both of us was still under 24dollars. Which was pretty extraordinary given the large portions that we were served. The restaurant was pretty busy the entire time that we were there. But the amount of to go orders dwarfed the dining in patrons considerably. The thing that I most enjoyed was the size of the booths. They were quite expansive and allowed you plenty of room. My friend is 6'8" and he even commented on the amount of room available in the booths. Unlike most other restaurants, where you are cramped into a seating area. The booth seats were comfortable and nicely padded. The restaurant and restrooms were all very well-maintained and clean. The lighting in the restroom was motion sensor activated, as were the paper towel dispensers. All touch free. If you are in the area, or even if you're not; take the time out to treat yourself to a fantastic meal at a reasonable price in a relaxed atmosphere. Excellent place to unwind and have an affordable fresh meal. i had a couple of items: cheesecake... a delicious chicken ranch wrap and my son had french toast everything was exceptional. I will be coming as often as I can.
